I forgot my password!
Now what?
Just follow the instructions on our self-service
"Forget
Password?" page
and a new password will be immediately emailed to you.
I know my UserID and password and still can't log in.
What's up?
All log-in problems boil down to three basic causes.
1. UserIDs and passwords are upper and lower case letter
sensitive. Type carefully, just as they appear in the email
confirmation you received.
2. Are you sure you're logging into the right game? UserIDs
and passwords are different for each. Don't feel
embarrassed, it's happened before to other players.
3. You may have a poor modem connection to the Internet on
your end. Try quitting your browser, logging off from the
Internet and establishing a new dial-up connection. Then
restart your browser, proceed to HeySportsFans and try
logging in again. This works nearly all of the time.
I can't access any secure pages, like the sign-up pages
or the Owners Area for making trades.
If you are using Microsoft Explorer as a stand-alone
browser, you'll need to make a quick adjustment to your
browser's settings. Click
here to learn more.
If you are using Explorer in conjunction with AOL, please
try the following. AOL has a known difficulty loading some
secure Internet pages.
1. Make sure you have the latest version of AOL software
installed.
2. Use Netscape as a stand-alone browser. It's
available for free here.
I need more help. How can I contact HeySportsFans?

Is $250 the most I can win in a Budget League?
NO! Every team in every league, Budget, Premium, and
High Stakes, is competing equally for the Overall Bonus
Prize of $500 given to the top scorer from all leagues. So
in addition to any weekly prizes, a Budget league winner
gets $250 PLUS
IS IN THE RUNNING FOR AN ADDITIONAL $500!
Now
that's some serious cash!
I signed up but my league number is blank. What's up?
Teams are placed into leagues at the start of the
season. There's many considerations: certain players want
their teams spread over different leagues, family and
friends who want to be in the same league, and so on.
There's no benefit to placing teams into leagues if we
possibly have to rearrange them again, so we don't in order
to avoid any confusion. You will know with Contest Period 1
stats exactly what league you are in.
Can I get all my family and friends in the same
league?
Yes!
Just send
us an email
with the names of everyone in your group and we'll be happy
to oblige. We know fantasy football is more fun when your
team's trouncing a best friend or loved one.
I notice the trade deadline for the first contest period
is a few days after the first game of the NFL season. Is
this a mistake?
Nope. To give as many people a chance to sign-up as
possible, the trade deadline for the first contest period is
one hour prior to the scheduled kickoff of the first Sunday
game of the season. Consider it special bonus! You'll know
how the players did in the Thursday game and can then still
make trades accordingly.
So when's the regular trade deadline?
Except for Week 1, the regular trade deadline is one
hour before the start of the FIRST game of the week.
How do real-time stats work?
Access to real-time stats are free for Premium and High
Stake team owners and available as an optional add-on for
owners with only Budget teams. Each qualified owner will
receive upon registration an email that will include a
special link and log-in information to access HeySportsFans
Fantasy Football real-time stats. Note that real-time stats
are not official nor are used in the computation of final
scores and are strictly for entertainment purposes only.
What's the purpose of the View Other Teams
feature?
It's a great way to see how many other teams took that stud
running back with 3 TDs or find out who your friend or
closest competitor picked. Please note you will only be able
to view other teams AFTER the trade deadline has passed. We
do this for a couple reasons:
1. We want the focus to be on the action on the field with
you making your own best selections, not trying to analyze
what everyone else is doing.
2. Most importantly, this protects the integrity of the game
and gives everyone a fair shot at winning. Otherwise a team
in first place with a fat lead could just copy the
selections of the team in second, settling for a tie score,
thereby never giving the second place team an opportunity to
catch up.
Are the players listed in each group the total for the
entire season?
No. After Week 8, we will add 9 or 10 new players to the
game. These will spread around, so some groups may get 1 or
2 players, other groups none. The purpose is twofold. One,
to bring in players who are having terrific seasons who
weren't in the game originally, and two, to fill in holes
where groups have been effectively reduced in size because
of serious injuries.
